Dear Sci Fi Channel,

music: Battlestar Galactica -- Season One

Some of us actually LIKE "space shows." We like the spaceships, and the aliens, and the philosophy of it all. We want the weird.

Human drama = totally okay, but if you're going to make a show about humans and cyborgs (I'M TALKING TO YOU, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA), how about making it more than a soap opera in space?

I know you're trying to get new viewers, but is it worth losing the old viewers? The ones that not just buy the DVD's but the merchandise? The ones who go to the conventions and blog and make fan videos? You know, your FAN BASE?

I'm also talking to you, STAR TREK. ENTERPRISE was the worst bit of fanfiction ever made. It isn't real Star Trek. Please quit trying to pass it off as such. (I mean, seriously, did you just do it so that Endgame wouldn't be the worst series finale Paramount ever made?)

Minor love,

Heather Mac.

BSG is one of them, yeah, but I'd just like to see more sci-fi in it. Well, there's always seasons two through--what, five? Hopefully it gets more sci-fi-ey.

I like both, though preferably in equal does. I am enjoying the series a lot, though. Now I'm just pissed that I can't really afford to go get season two (unless I take it out of my grocery budget--which I could do and still eat, the 15th's not too far away--damn I get sucked into fandoms easily!) until my husband's payday because I haven't even gotten any interviews yet.

I share some of your love for the Sci-Fi channel, but the extent of your devotion to the shows makes me love you even more <3

I probably should watch Star Trek one of these days...I don't know where to find it though, help me out here? XD

I think getting them on DVD is your best bet, especially if you're neurotic about watching them in sequence like I am. I know Spike TV used to show lots of DS9 and Voyager but I haven't checked their listings in a long time...

The problem is that the current CEO is a fucking idiot who was part of NBC and got banished to run Sci-Fi Channel as punishment from the higher ups. I can't remember her name, but she was in charge of all those shitty daytime soaps that flopped and failed in the last decade. She's trying to make more sci-fi soaps to attract women and more main stream audiences to the sci-fi realm.

Unfortunately she's pissing away the original viewers by dragging crappy shows into the series like all these new reality shows that belong on Faux Network and not on Sci-Fi Channel. I think she's actually trying to kill of the Sci-Fi Channel.

So that's why the Sci Fi Channel has sucked for so long. I did not know that.
