I had a dream I was walking on broken glass. I would stop, pull the glass out from my foot, see the blood, and keep walking on the broken glass.

What do you think it means? Interpret away please!! And no I didn't listen to any Annie Lennox before bed. XD

I bought an acoustic guitar about 2 years ago (really nice one, actually), because I had this idea that I wanted to learn to play guitar. I'm pretty sure the only reason I've ever had for wanting to play the guitar is the cool factor. I'm pretty much devoid of musical talent and musical interests, and I'm worried that the guitar will grow into a monster if it's not maintained. Should I sell it? I'm reluctant, because there's about a one in one million change I will actually want to pick it up again when I'm, say, 40. Plus, I'm cooler just by owning it, right? Plus, it's one of the few sort of stand-alone awesome things I own that can prove my cool.

So I have these pair of heels and when I wear them it feels like the actual heels aren't centered. As in, when I wear them it feels like my ankles want to roll outward. But to the naked eye the shoes look perfectly fine. And I've worn my mates heels before & never had a problem with them.

So, do you think it's a problem with my feet or the shoes? Cause they seriously look normal!

Ever had a sudden craving for warm and fluffy cinnamon rolls, but absolutely dread the 1-2 hour wait for the yeasted dough to rise? Well, this was one of those days for me, and the promise of having warm rolls made, baked and eaten all within an hour seemed much too tempting.

Personally, I had my reservations, having tried out a non-yeast cinnamon roll recipe in my earlier years of baking. And I know that the orthodox yeast fans out there would scowl, but trust me, these easy, tasty, fluffy, yeast-free cinnamon rolls were the closest you’d ever get to having cinnamon perfection in under an hour.

Recipe on my blog, and after the jump!

Jonathan Ross is quitting the BBC, he said today.

The controversial broadcaster is leaving after 13 years at the Corporation.

Ross has been one of the biggest faces at the BBC, with his Friday night chat show, his Radio 2 show and his film review programme.

His salary, a reported £18 million over three years, and the scandal over actor Andrew Sachs have recently caused controversy.

Ross, 49, said in a statement that he had decided not to renegotiate his contract when it ends at the end of July.

Ringo Starr's albums are usually laid back affairs, but that's definitely not the case with his new album, "Y Not," which will be released Jan. 12. The title may sound laid back, but the album certainly isn't. And that's the reason this album is one of his best in years, maybe his best since "Vertical Man."

Although the original announcement of the album said Ringo was producing the album entirely, the credits in a proof of the CD booklet show he shares producing credits with Bruce Sugar. However, Ringo's press spokesman told us he did the bulk of production. After hearing "Y Not," it makes us hope he'll do a lot more of it in the future.

Do you memorize credit card numbers, stranger's faces, or just long strings of numbers for no reason at all?

I used to memorize the number of windows in any building I was in (just the parts I would walk through, not necessarily the whole floor or building).

1. What is your mother tongue?
2. Do you study any languages? Which ones?
3. How many are you fluent in?

I love asking these sorts of questions... the results are often so diverse.

Rush Limbaugh's girlfriend, Kathryn Rogers, gave Page2Live an inside account of the radio host's heart scare.

Rogers first heard about the incident, which occurred during a Hawaii vacation, while she was getting her nails done with her mother.

"Due to Rush's [hearing loss], we don't often speak over the phone, more via e-mail and text," Rogers said in an email. "When I saw that he was calling, I thought that's weird he never calls. I answered with my one free hand. Rush said 'Kate, I think I'm having a heart attack!' in a very stressed tone. I hung up, pushed back the nail table and yelled to my mom: 'Rush is having a heart attack! Call 911!'"

She explained that while Limbaugh did not have a heart attack, doctors told her that the quick arrival of paramedics played a major role. She described the experience as "extremely scary."

A cardiologist who treated Limbaugh made the same point: "Time is very, very important, and the sooner you can get to the medical care for your heart, the sooner we know what the problems are and the sooner we can treat it."

Rogers, a 33-year-old Florida party planner, has been dating the 59-year-old Limbaugh since 2007.

Will you reccommend some good rock bands with female vocalists?

If so, which songs should I try to find first?

To give you a better idea what I'm looking for, I've been listening to a lot of Bikini Kill, L7 and Hole lately.

I'm trying to get my boyfriend down here for Valentine's Day for as cheap as possible. I've checked expedia & orbitz as well as 4 individual airline websites (JetBlue, Southwest, Northwest & American). The cheapest flight I'm finding is $231.40 for a round trip ticket, which really isn't that bad, but I'm wondering if anyone has used a site like hotwire or priceline for airline tickets? If so, what site did you use and how much were you able to knock off the price?

I'm really, really enjoying the show and am near the end of the second season.

I'm checking out fan and icon comms, but if any of y'all could point me in the direction of icons of Garcia looking/acting smug/badass, I'd sure appreciate it.

Also, anything of Reid being a dork, or anything even remotely slashy.

New school year means new room! I hate moving every year but it does give me the excuse to re-arrange furniture, acquire a shitload of new (unnecessary) items, and of course reluctantly cleaning out the old. (I'm not good at throwing things out.)

i've posted once before here. I didn't throw out the red couch! I just moved it into the living room because we actually sort of have half a living room now. (I live with 3 other roommates in a 2 bedroom apt). I have also accepted that I will never be a minimalist no matter how hard I try, and thus embraced my maximalist life.

I've neglected to take some pictures of stuff, like my cute plants and camera collection (everyone seems to have one) but i'm sure i'll be back to post after I move again this septemember.

I am 22, almost 23, and married living in the City of Chicago. I JUST graduated with my B.A. in Art History (deans list baby). My husband and I recently moved into a very small garden apartment (downsize due to a job loss). I have gotten the bedroom some-what in order (my husband's corner is still a disaster).
MANY pictures... )

There's so much more I want to do to spruce the place up (can't paint). But, we might be leaving Chicago and going to Cleveland...not sure yet.

If you thought 2009 was a big year for music, just wait until you see what 2010 has in store. While the past 12 months were all about Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Susan Boyle and Adam Lambert, 2010 is shaping up to be the year of the comeback, the sequel and the new look, with anticipated discs on tap from a reunited Blink-182, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Diddy, Kanye West, Vampire Weekend, Usher, MGMT, and the soundtrack to the third "Twilight" film, "Eclipse."

Pop
Perry has been "spilling out material" for the follow-up to her breakthrough, One of the Boys, citing such über-pop acts as Ace of Base and the Cardigans as inspiration. She's worked with Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and Rihanna collaborator Tricky Stewart so far, but hasn't really nailed down a release date.

While we know Britney Spears has also been in the studio, working on the sequel to Circus, its unknown if the back-on-track pop diva will finish up the disc in time for a 2010 release. Former rival Christina Aguilera, though, has reportedly started her electro-influenced follow-up to 2006's Back to Basics with an eclectic group of women, including M.I.A., Sia, Santigold and Ladytron, but has seemingly put it on hold until she finishes filming her bit for the movie "Burlesque."

Also potentially on tap for 2010: a new album from Madonna, troubled British soul singer Amy Winehouse's long-awaited follow-up to her Grammy-winning Back to Black breakthrough, and the second album from She & Him, featuring actress Zooey Deschanel and singer/songwriter M. Ward.

tl;dr )

2009? Done. The new year is here, and with it comes a clean slate and a host of new movies, series and games to get excited about - from killer fish in three dimensions to warmongering angels to the long-awaited return of two horror icons to the screen (and your nightmares). In chronological order, behold our top 10 reasons why 2010 could be a great year for horror fans.

The Return of Vicious Vampire Films (January 8 & beyond)
The tail end of the ‘00s may have belonged to sparkly vampires, but in 2010, their vicious brethren are taking the genre back to its bloody roots. First up is Daybreakers. Ethan Hawke plays a vamp scientist in a world dominated by bloodthirsty vampires who feed on humanity. Later this year, Twilight’s Cam Gigandet and True Blood’s Stephen Moyer team up with Paul Bettany’s warrior monk in the summer flick Priest, loosely based on the Korean comic about a shotgun-toting, vampire-hunting clergyman. And keep an eye out for those LA bloodsucker types in 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, which picks up as Stella (Kiele Sanchez) heads to California to exact revenge for her husband’s death.

More horror goodness behind the cut )

I applied for a job and it seems that I can get it. The only problem is that my employer will be in Egypt while I am in Hungary. It shouldn't be a problem since it is a translation job so it doesn't require traveling. I told my future employer that I was at the beginning of the process of becoming self-employed and that I could not give an invoice. He answered:

"We can bare you and all what we need for invoicing is just a simple word document including your payment methods and amount required"

I have a little trouble making out what it means. What does it mean that "we can bare you" in this sense? [Good start as a translator :) I don't even know how to interpret this... ].
Could you please help me?

Update: Thanks for all the replies!
